Frigid Bulls lose to Nets
Sometime during the second half at Indiana on Monday, the Bulls lost their edge somehow. They might be calling lost and found in Indianapolis to find out where it went.
The Bulls got off to a decent start in the first quarter on Tuesday, but after that were thoroughly dominated by the Brooklyn Nets in a 96-82 loss at the United Center.
The game wasn't even as close as the final score indicated. The Bulls trailed by more than 20 points during most of the fourth quarter. The Bulls (22-10) ended a seven-game win streak, while Brooklyn (15-16) has won five of its last six.
The one guy who shot the ball well for the Bulls was Mike Dunleavy, who scored a team-high 23 points. Jimmy Butler had a rare off night, scoring 8 points on 3-of-12 shooting.
But Derrick Rose's shot was even more off target. After missing his final 9 shots of the game against the Pacers, he went 2-for-15 from the field against Brooklyn. For those keeping score, Rose has missed 22 of his last 24 shot attempts.
Aaron Brooks was ejected for arguing a call at the end of the first quarter, so he couldn't help. Center Brook Lopez erupted for a season-high 29 points to lead the Nets.
