4 a.m. IRWINDALE -Fiesta Parade Floats will begin Rose Parade float decorating, with a lineup that includes floats for Miracle-Gro, Kaiser Permanente, city of Torrance, Underground Service Alert, AIDS Healthcare Foundation, Kiehl's Since 1851, Northwestern Mutual, The Bachelor, the Royal Court and Dole Packaged Foods -- which has been the Sweepstakes Trophy winner for the past four consecutive years.

9 a.m. PASADENA -Events leading up to Thursday's 126th Tournament of Roses Parade include backstage views of float decorating from noon to 5 p.m at the Rosemont Pavilion, 700 Seco St.; Brookside Pavilion, 1001 Rose Bowl Drive; and Rose Palace, 835 S. Raymond Ave. The Rose Parade On-Site and Digital Media Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Tournament House, The Annex, 391 S. Orange Grove. The center will provide information about Rose Parade-related activities and media credential distribution.

2 p.m. SAN PEDRO -The Los Angeles Maritime Institute will celebrate the Holidays by the Sea with a cannon battle sail aboard the Exy Johnson and Irving Johnson tall ships for the public. Proceeds will benefit the TopSail Youth Program.

6 p.m. POMONA -The dA Center for the Arts will present a closing reception for "Into the Mystic: Memorial Art Show for Sandra 'Maya' Campbell." The photojournalist died of breast cancer in September.
