No. 14 Georgia remains undefeated 62-43 over Belmont
ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - Shacobia Barbee had 13 points on Monday night, and Marjorie Butler sparked No. 14 Georgia's second-half run to get past Belmont and remain undefeated with a 62-43 win.
Butler hit a jumper and 3-pointer in a 1:22 span that started the Bulldogs' 13-0 run to go up 46-30 with 6:13 left in the game. Georgia (12-0) led by no less than 12 from there.
Tiaria Griffin added 11 points and Merritt Hempe nine. Barbee and Hempe also had eight rebounds apiece.
Georgia trailed 21-19 at halftime after missing its last six field goals. The Bulldogs scored the first five of the second half and opened with a 10-2 run to take the lead for good.
Jordyn Luffman-Hartsfield made back-to-back 3s and Sally McCabe followed with a third 3 as part of Belmont's 11-0 run for a 17-12 first-half lead.
Frankie Joubran led the Bruins with 13 points and eight rebounds.
