State Rep. Marty Moylan forms panel to address O'Hare noise

State Rep. Marty Moylan is forming an advisory committee to address noise issues at O'Hare International Airport.

Moylan said in a news release he's looking for residents of the 55th State House district to join the committee, and is also reaching out to members of the O'Hare Noise Compatibility Commission, the Suburban O'Hare Commission, the Fair Allocation in Runways Coalition, and other grass-roots organizations.

He's also asked officials from the Chicago Department of Aviation, Federal Aviation Administration and other elected officials to attend the group's first meeting, tentatively scheduled for February.

"As anyone who lives in the affected areas can tell you, the increase in noise due at O'Hare Airport has reached unacceptable levels," Moylan said in the news release. "My goal is to bring as many people and groups together as possible to try and reach a comprehensive solution."
