Coach appreciates prep sports coverage

As I rushed to get my newspaper off the driveway this morning I realized how much I count on the Daily Herald to get info on my beloved St. Viator Lions.

We are well on our way to becoming a one-paper town in the big city. Even today the big boys don't really cover high school sports except for football and basketball. The days of the small town papers are numbered. Only the Daily Herald is committed to high school sports.

My golf team gets great coverage in the Herald. All of their sports writers are committed to getting quality stories out there about the young people that wear the uniform, hit the ball, kick the ball or jump in the water.

Thanks for everything you do for St. Viator athletics and really all high school athletics. It is most appreciated.
