Local Italians should reject new restaurant
As a proud Italian American who has lived in the Northwest suburbs for the last 50 years and has many family members in the area, I'm disgusted by the name of the newest hot dog restaurant being proposed for Arlington Heights.
We support the members of St. Joseph Club of Italian Americans for their objection to the offensive name.
If this restaurant is allowed to open with this insulting name our shopping and eating days in Arlington Heights are over.
I hope Mariano's, Portillo's and other business owners will let their disgust be known.
