Grayslake library will close for renovations

Grayslake Area Public Library will be closed for three days in January because of renovation work. Officials say the construction will occur from Monday, Jan. 5, through Wednesday, Jan. 7. Because of the project, the program "How to Avoid Consumer Fraud," originally scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 6, will be rescheduled. No library materials will be due on the days the building is closed. Regular library hours are set to resume at 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8. When complete, the central lobby will become a gathering place with chairs, tables and plenty of electrical outlets and USB ports.
