Leaders' politics betray us all

Sleep deprivation, simulated drowning, slapping, ice baths, waterboarding, diaper-wearing of terrorist murderers, humiliations. Now compare this with 2,995 horrific deaths of innocent victims on 9/11 and the ever-growing number of beheadings and deaths of additional innocents. Which of these scenarios should produce the greatest revulsion, the greatest indignation and horror?

Most Americans have no problem identifying which is the greater evil and condemning it. Most Americans have no problem approving whatever action is needed to prevent the recurrence of this unprovoked horrific assault on America and Americans. But our leadership has lost its patriotic vision. It has lost its ability to see the consequences their politically motivated decisions will have not only on America and its citizens but American interests everywhere. Your decisions are putting us all in harm's way. You are betraying your country. You are betraying us all!
