District 95 film festival:
Lake Zurich Unit District 95 and the District 95 Educational Foundation will host the 3rd annual District 95 Film Festival on Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. in the Lake Zurich High School Performing Arts Center, 300 Church St., Lake Zurich. Student filmmakers from District 95 schools are invited to submit films, documentaries, animations, comedy/drama and public service announcements for the upcoming film festival. Anyone who plans to submit a film entry is asked to pre-register. Film submissions are due by Friday, Jan. 23. Three prizes will be awarded at each of the three grade levels: high school, middle school, and elementary school. Prizes will be gift cards valued at $50, $30, $15. The film festival is free and open to the public to attend.
