Woodland students shop with teachers

Woodland Elementary West staff helped students purchase items Tuesday at the Gurnee Target to be donated to the Woodland Elementary District 50's Holiday Food Drive.

Elementary East staff and students held their shopping event last week.

Items purchased during the Shop with an Educator program go directly to families in the district. Other food donations are being accepted through Dec. 12.

The district is also collecting hats, gloves, mittens and gently used books that can be sent to students' respective school. Donations can also be dropped off at the Woodland Educational Support Center, 1105 N. Hunt Club Road in Gurnee.
