Toyotathon arrives ahead of expansion

Schaumburg Toyota holiday sale prepares dealership  for spring project

For many people, December is the best time of the year because of the winter holidays. It can also be the best time of the year if you're thinking about purchasing a new vehicle.

"Toyotathon" offers some of the best deals of the year on new and used vehicles at Schaumburg Toyota, one of the Chicago area's premier dealerships since the late 1970s.

"It's the best time of the year to save more than you ever thought possible on a new or used Toyota vehicle," said Chris Haley, general manager of Schaumburg Toyota. "Some of the incentives will include zero-percent financing for qualified buyers, huge factory rebates and some of the best year-end deals that anyone has ever seen."

As one of the more established and larger volume dealers in the Chicago area, Schaumburg Toyota has always had a great selection. However, with increased demand for this year's Toyotathon event, the dealership will offer more than 1,000 new and used vehicles.

Most of these vehicles will qualify for special incentives and savings. If you are just looking for a great deal or the car of your dreams, Schaumburg Toyota carries one of the best selections in Chicago from which to choose, Haley said.

Schaumburg Toyota has always been a family owned and operated business. The dealership was founded by Gerald Resnick in the 1970s and now owned by his son, Phillip.

Beginning next spring, Schaumburg Toyota will begin construction on a new state-of-the-art facility. The new facility will offer an improved showroom, customer cafe, courtesy car wash, more service bays, a plush-high-tech customer-friendly waiting area, on-site detail center and much more.

Every Toyota model is included in the Toyotathon sales event, from subcompacts and compacts all the way up through SUVs. One of the stars of Toyotathon is expected to be the new Camry, America's No. 1 selling vehicle.

The current Camry now has 152 spot welds that make the body more rigid. The model features LED daytime running lights, 10 air bags and a combined 28 miles per gallon fuel economy rating, along with more interior space.

"Toyota has taken the best car in America and made it even better," Haley said. "We have a lineup for every class of car that offers some of the best reliability and value in the business, but let's not forget our other brand, Scion, which offers five exciting models with a modern appeal."

Financing will be provided for virtually everyone who walks into the dealership with interest rates that will fit their budgets and make them happy. Zero-percent financing is available on select models to customers who qualify. In addition, 90-day deferred financing programs are also available, making it easy for customers to get through the post-holiday money crunch.

All vehicles come with complimentary ToyotaCare, which covers normal factory scheduled service for two years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first. Also, 24-hour roadside assistance is included for two years, regardless of mileage.

Haley said the dealership offers top dollar for all trade-ins and even has a three-day "try it before you buy it" program that allows customers to drive a vehicle before making a final purchase - all of which provide the customer with a complete peace of mind car-buying experience.

Similar incentives are available for customers to purchase Toyota-certified used vehicles, all of which go through the manufacturer's vigorous 160-point mechanical inspection program.

"The best new cars make the best used cars," Haley said. "These cars offer you additional savings and are checked out thoroughly to give you the peace of mind that you're getting a really good car for a really great price."

Certified used vehicles may also qualify for special financing, as low as 1.9 percent. Certified pre-driven Toyotas provide the customer 12-month or 12,000-mile comprehensive coverage, commonly referred to as the bumper-to-bumper warranty, and seven-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty and 24-hour roadside assistance.

Customers who prefer to lease vehicles will also find great deals during Toyotathon.

"We have factory-subsidized lease programs that allow customers to have an extremely low payment with little to no down payment, therefore customers get a lot more vehicle for their money," Haley said.

The environment in the dealership feels like a family atmosphere. Many members of the dealership's team have decades of service at the same location. Haley, for example, will begin his 25th year with Schaumburg Toyota in 2015, while service manager Mike Krueger has been in his position 30 years and parts manager Andy Komorski has worked at Schaumburg Toyota since its inception. The core of the sales staff has also been with the dealership for seven to 15 years.

Plus, customers can buy a vehicle and converse in their native language. The diverse sales staff has individuals fluent in languages that include Spanish, Polish, Hindi, Korean, Russian, Bulgarian, Filipino Assyrian, Gujarati, Tagalog, Laotian, Yiddish and even basic sign language.

"We speak your language, we're here to make you feel more comfortable," Haley said.

"The holiday season should be a time to keep your money and spend your money on your family and friends," Haley added. "We love this opportunity because it allows us to help people get the new vehicle with the options and safety systems they want, and still have money to dedicate those resources to the things that really matter."

All of the sales staff is also factory certified, meaning they are knowledgeable about every vehicle in the lineup to give customers a first-rate shopping experience.

"Our customer satisfaction scores go well into the A grade," Haley said. "Schaumburg Toyota is the kind of place where, when you come in here, you'll want to come back. We're not here to sell you only one car, but to move forward and get your repeat business."

The dealership also has one of the only service departments in the area where customers can come in without an appointment, with service hours extending until midnight on weekdays and 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. Express lube oil change service in 29 minutes or less is always available, even at night. Customers can also find service special coupons online at Schaumburg Toyota's website.

"We also have one of the largest parts departments in the Midwest, so if you are looking for a hard-to-find part, chances are we have it," Haley said.

All service technicians and advisers are also Toyota certified and in the event your vehicle is in an accident, Schaumburg Toyota also has one of the few Toyota-certified body shops in Illinois. Rental and loaner cars are usually available.

Haley said Schaumburg Toyota is always looking to the future and to continue its legacy as one of a handful of dealerships that originally brought Toyota vehicles to the Chicago area.
