Bulls can't keep pace with Warriors

The Bulls got caught up in a race they couldn't finish on Saturday against Golden State.

The Warriors raced to a 61-49 lead at halftime by piling up 27 fast-break points. It was a season-high for a Bulls' opponent, set in just two quarters.

The Bulls made a better effort in the second half, and led 80-79 heading into the fourth. Ultimately, too many 3-point baskets made the difference in Golden State's 112-102 victory. The Warriors won a franchise-record 12 straight game and improved their league-best record to 17-2.

Golden State forward Draymond Green scored a career-high 31 points, knocking down 7 of 13 shots from 3-point land while the Bulls focused on his more accomplished teammates. Klay Thompson added 24 points.

Jimmy Butler led the Bulls with 24 points, while Pau Gasol piled up 22 points and 20 rebounds. Taj Gibson returned from six games off with a sprained ankle and scored 12 points.
