Rolling Meadows madrigals continue longtime tradition
Rolling Meadows High School will continue a 29-year tradition this holiday season as the Madrigal Singers, under the direction of Caitlyn Walsh, present the elegant Madrigal Dinner at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, at The Cotillion Banquets, 320 S. Creekside Drive, in Palatine.
The talented singers, dressed in English Renaissance costumes, will perform traditional madrigals and international holiday carols in a festive setting. Court jesters, serving wenches, court musicians, acrobats, beggars and other characters will add to the colorful spectacle.
A royal feast will be served as attendees are taken back in time, enjoying courtly entertainment with their meal. Patrons have their choice of a filet mignon, chicken, or vegetarian entree. Children ages 12 and under may enjoy a kids meal (chicken tenders, fries, and a special prize) at a reduced price.
A suggested arrival time of 15 minutes prior to the dinner/performance is recommended to allow time for parking, coat check, and seating.
Tickets are $35 ($25 for kids meal); reserve now before all seats are filled.
