Elk Grove, Buffalo Grove high school to stage shows this weekend

Buffalo Grove and Elk Grove high schools are presenting plays this weekend.

Buffalo Grove High School is presenting "The Boys Next Door," which depicts the life of group home residents with humor and pathos.

The play will be staged at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, and 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 5 and 6, at the school's Miller Theater, 1100 W. Dundee Road.

Tickets are $5 at the door or $6 online, bghs.d214.org/fine_arts.

Elk Grove High School is presenting the Tony award-winning musical "In The Heights," set in New York's Washington Heights neighborhood, a community on the brink of change, full of hopes, dreams and pressures.

The musical is at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, to Saturday, Dec. 6, in the school theater, 500 W. Elk Grove Blvd.

Call the box office at (847) 718-4532 to reserve tickets, which are $10 for students and $7 for senior citizens. Tickets will also be available at the door.
