Step Afrika! to perform Saturday at ECC

Step Afrika! will bring the exhilarating, interactive world of stepping to the Elgin Community College on Saturday, Nov. 22. The performance will be at 7:30 p.m. in the Arts Center, Building H, 1700 Spartan Drive.

Step Afrika! blends percussive dance styles practiced by historically African-American fraternities and sororities, African traditional dance, and influences from a variety of other dance and art forms. Performances integrate dance, songs, storytelling, humor, and audience participation.

Tickets are $32.

Tickets for "Step Afrika" are available online at tickets.elgin.edu, at the ECC box office in the Arts Center, or by phone at (847) 622-0300. Box office hours are noon to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and noon to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
