Girl raising funds for service dog

Rose Hunzeker, a 6-year-old with autism, has been granted permission to get a service dog, and now she's trying to raise the $14,000 she needs. The nonprofit that will supply the dog, 4 Paws for Ability, trains dogs for disabled children and veterans. The Glenview girl will sell coupon books from 8-10 a.m. and 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15 during the Carson Pirie Scott Community Days event at Westfield Hawthorn shopping center, routes 60 and 21 in Vernon Hills.
