Reel life: Follow that yellow brick road

Film critics notebook:

• You should be off to see the Wizard this weekend. If you've never seen the classic musical “The Wizard of Oz” on the silver screen, you owe it to your bucket list to get over to the Hollywood Palms Cinema, 352 S. Route 59, Naperville, where the 1939 movie will be shown four times each on Saturday, Nov. 15, and Sunday, Nov. 16, starting at noon. “Wizard” will also be shown at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, and Thursday, Nov. 20. • A heads up for the world's first Catlow Local Shorts Festival, featuring 12 locally produced short films to be shown starting at noon on Saturday, Nov. 22, at Barrington's historic Catlow Theater, 116 W.
