Dining events: Jazz up your Sunday brunch at Waterleaf

Jazz up brunch

Get jazzy at Waterleaf's jazz brunch from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16. The joint event with WDCB 90.9-FM's "Chicago's home for jazz" combines Waterleaf's a la carte brunch menu with contemporary jazz guitarist Bryan Lubeck and host Rick O'Dell. Brunch offerings include caramelized apple pancakes, crab benedict, blueberry French toast, olive oil fried eggs, Amish chicken leg confit, maple creme brulee, smoked salmon and more.

Juicing 101

Sample a variety of energizing raw foods at Pure Juice Cafe's free open house from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19. Try one of the cafe's more than 30 juices and smoothies while watching juicing demonstrations. Learn about vegan foods and how to make nondairy desserts, sides, smoothies and more.

Lamb dinner

Join Chef Amaury's five-course lamb dinner at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, featuring fresh lamb from Nelson family farms in Yorkville. Four courses will feature the lamb, which is free-range, grass-fed and humanely raised. $75 per person, tax and gratuity not included.
