Route 53/120 open house Wednesday in Grayslake

The first of two open house workshops regarding the Route 53/120 Corridor Land Use Plan, which is currently in development, will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, at the Byron Colby Barn at Prairie Crossing, 1561 Jones Point Road, Grayslake.

The corridor study is intended to create a plan for land use, open space, local transportation, and economic development within a two-mile buffer of the proposed 53/120 tollway. The open house will provide a review of initial findings and allow for public input. The corridor land use plan is being managed by the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning.

The same hours and format will be followed during the second hearing Nov. 19 at Lake Zurich High School.
