Privatization has its own hazards

We have heard for years that the answer to "Big Government" is privatization. Let business take over the day-to-day activity of government and all will be well. In fact, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is now heading up a company to privatize the work of disaster recovery on a national level.

So here is a practical example of how this concept works. The FAA hires a company who then goes and hires an independent contractor to work in one of their flight control locations in Aurora. He gets notified that he is being transferred to Hawaii. Not happy, he goes in the next day and sets fire to the entire computer system and brings down the Midwest's airplane system.

Bet we all would loved to have had one of those lazy, overpaid, union members to have been on the job that day.
