Celtic Woman planning two holiday concerts at North Central
Irish music sensation Celtic Woman plans to return to North Central College next month with "Home for Christmas, The Symphony Tour," two performances of music and holiday cheer.
The performances will be presented at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, and 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, in the College's Pfeiffer Hall, 310 E. Benton Ave. Tickets are $95, $85 and $75; call (630) 637-7469 or visit northcentralcollege.edu/showtix.
The multiplatinum Celtic Woman will celebrate the holiday season with a full symphony orchestra. Showcasing music from the ensemble's second Christmas album, "Home For Christmas," and new live concert DVD, "Home for Christmas: Live from Dublin," the concert includes many holiday favorites.
Since the group's 2005 American debut on Public Broadcasting Service, Celtic Woman has emerged as a cultural phenomenon with devoted fans worldwide. The multitalented all-female ensemble has released nine albums and eight DVDs, selling more than 9 million copies of its releases, achieving platinum-level in nine countries and performing for nearly 3 million fans.
