In lockstep with Tea Party and GOP

While we put a lot of attention into the role of the president in this country, it is Congress that has the real power to affect the economy. Congress, after all, passes bills into law. The president can only sign or not sign them.

Because I believe that the role of Congress cannot be overstated, I plan to vote for Dennis Anderson in the 14th Congressional district. Mr. Anderson supports jobs bill that directly create jobs. These jobs not only improve the life of those employed, but also improve the infrastructure which business and society relies on.

The current occupant of the seat Randy Hultgren has marched in lockstep with the Tea Party and GOP bosses to pass bills that have "jobs" in their name but not in substance. These bills cut corporate tax rates (already at a record low) to increase corporate profits (already at record highs). These favors to big business have no record or hope for improving the job market.

The only way to create and sustain a positive and self-reinforcing cycle of prosperity is to create actual jobs. Please join me in voting for Dennis Anderson for the IL 14th Congressional district. Let's get Mr. Anderson and Illinois to work.
