55th District candidates Moylan and Thillens to meet twice more before Election Day

The candidates for state representative in the 55th District will appear together publicly two more times before Election Day to discuss the issues.

State Rep. Marty Moylan, a Des Plaines Democrat, and Republican challenger Mel Thillens of Park Ridge will lay out their platforms during an appearance at Des Plaines Alderman Dick Sayad's 4th Ward meeting, taking place at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Golf Road Baptist Church, 501 W. Golf Road. The forum is not intended to be a debate between the candidates.

The Des Plaines and Park Ridge chambers of commerce are hosting a debate between the candidates during a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Park Ridge Country Club, 636 N. Prospect Ave. Registration is $35. For more information, call (847) 825-3121.
