Man sentenced for pushing woman out Chicago window
A South Dakota man has been sentenced to 27 years in prison for pushing a woman out of a third-story window in Chicago and killing her.
The Chicago Sun-Times reports 31-year-old Daniel Neasom was sentenced Thursday in Cook County court for the death of 39-year-old Cynthia Barnes.
Authorities say Neasom pushed Barnes out the window of his third-floor apartment on Chicago's Southwest Side after an argument in July 2011. Her body was found on a sidewalk and an autopsy concluded she died from injuries suffered in a fall.
He was arrested in Aberdeen, South Dakota, in January 2013.
