Challenger bad for seniors, kids

Leslie Munger is the perfect candidate for state representative if you are a "one percenter." She and her multimillionaire, right-wing friends who finance her campaign believe in protecting the status quo. For the vast majority of voters however, Leslie Munger's possibility of becoming a state representative is a nightmare.

Munger, when addressing the Lincolnshire village board, lobbied against senior citizen housing anywhere in the area because it could affect the property values of her million-dollar home. In Munger's world, senior citizens should be far away.

Munger has also come out for budget cuts for domestic violence victims and abused children. Famously she said she would not fund criminal background checks for school employees, potentially allowing predators in our schools.

Munger is willing to protect her rich friends but she won't protect seniors, women or our children. For those reasons, I encourage your readers not to vote for Leslie Munger.
