Political smears are insult to voters

The patently ridiculous, vicious smear directed at state representative candidate Leslie Munger alleging that she supports pedophiles working in our public schools (via robocalls made to House District 59 voters by "Friends of Carol Sente"), is a prime example of the abuse that good people must endure when they try to improve the political and economic climate in Illinois by running for elected office.

It is also prima facie evidence of many of Illinois' incumbent politicians' condescension to the voters, and their malignant mindset that the retention of power is the single and ultimate goal. State Rep. Carol Sente apparently feels that since she can't defend her legislative record, she must resort to gutter tactics by desperately and falsely characterizing her opponent as an uncaring individual subservient to the "right wing."

Is that the best Sente can do: labeling hardworking people who are overtaxed, over-regulated, and are being forced to watch our once-prosperous state disintegrating before our eyes? Such is the wont of Madigan's minions, mostly Democrat but sometimes Republican.

Don't fall for the lies that are serving to keep Illinois under the control of those who are well on their way to reducing us to the status of a Third World country. I'm confident that discerning voters can see through such gross distortions of facts, and the intentional poisoning of the well of future candidates that would try to put Illinois back on the right path.

Carol Sente's self-serving mendacity reminds me of one of Lenin's dictums "There are no morals in politics: only expedience."
