Early voting begins in Wisconsin
MADISON, Wis. - Voters hoping to avoid lines at the polls Election Day can cast their ballots early.
Municipal clerks across Wisconsin will accept ballots beginning Monday. Early voting hours generally run from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. weekdays, however local clerks can set their own hours within those perimeters. Early voting ends Oct. 31.
You won't need to show identification to vote. The U.S. Supreme Court recently blocked that requirement for the Nov. 4 election.
The latest Marquette University Law School poll shows incumbent Republican Scott Walker and Democrat Mary Burke are dead-even in the governor's race.
