Good ideas wait for an election year

It's interesting to see the politicians taking credit for our improving economy and job creations when in reality it's the American consumer whose cars, clothing, appliances and all the rest of our stuff that's wearing out, breaking down and we are forced to spend and buy new. The only jobs government can create are government jobs, and they sure are doing a great job of it.

Pat Quinn is getting rid of five state aircraft. Why didn't he do it five years ago?

Dick Durbin says he is trying to pass a bill so student loans can be refinanced at a lower rate. Why didn't he do it years ago?

The incumbent politicians are all promising all kinds of things. Why didn't they do it years ago?

I think we all know the answer. It's time for a change this year.
