Kane County forest preserve looking for volunteers

Share your time and talent with the Forest Preserve District of Kane County and help restore, protect and maintain your local forest preserves.

Volunteers are needed in these areas: natural resources, including seed harvest volunteers, stewards, preserve monitors, adopt-a-trail participants, tree care volunteers, and horticulturist/garden volunteers; program/special events, including nature center hosts, nature program and special event volunteers; cultural preservation, including windmill docents and millers, volunteers at the Japanese Garden, Pioneer Sholes School and Durant House Museum, and Fabyan Villa docents; and public safety, including campground hosts and mounted rangers.
