Fremont 79 official resigns

Veteran Fremont Elementary District 79 board member Sandra Bickley has resigned because she moved out of state, officials announced. Bickley served on the panel, which includes the Mundelein area, for 11 years. She has chaired the finance, facilities and shared services committees and most recently served as school board president. While serving on the school board, Bickley received a Distinguished Service Award for excellence from the Illinois School Public Relations Association for her initiation and support of the district's communications efforts. The board is seeking applicants interested in finishing Bickley's term, which ends in spring 2015. Application packets are available in the district office, 28855 North Fremont Center Road. The deadline to submit an application is noon Wednesday.
