Suspect in subway shooting held on $2 million bail

A Cook County judge ordered a man accused of shooting at a Chicago subway train held on $2 million bail.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that 25-year-old Lorenzo Jones of Chicago appeared in court Friday on felony charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, aggravated assault with the discharge of a firearm and possession of a stolen firearm.

The incident happened Thursday on an underground platform in the city's financial district. Nobody was injured, but passengers on the Blue Line train reported hearing several shots as they pulled into the station.

Jones was arrested a short time later on the street. Police say the gun was recovered.
