CLC hosts Engineering night Oct. 16

College of Lake County will host its annual Engineering Night on Thursday, Oct. 16.

The event is geared for those who wish to learn about careers in engineering and meet with representatives from area engineering schools.

Engineering Night begins at 6:30 p.m. in Room C005 on the CLC Grayslake campus, 19351 W. Washington St. The event, part of the STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) Speaker Series, is free and open to students of all ages, as well as interested community members.

From 7 to 8 p.m., University of Illinois Professor Kevin Pitts, associate dean for undergraduate programs, will discuss "the engineering experience" as part of his keynote address. He will provide insights on opportunities available to engineering students as they pursue their education and enter the workplace.
