Mussman, Moynihan to face off at Schaumburg forum Thursday

Democratic state Rep. Michelle Mussman and Jim Moynihan, her Republican challenger in the race for the 56th District Illinois House, will face off during a candidate forum at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at Roosevelt University's Schaumburg Campus.

Representatives of Democratic U.S. 8th District Rep. Tammy Duckworth and Republican challenger Larry Kaifesh also are scheduled to speak at the forum, which is being held in the campus' Alumni Hall, 1400 N. Roosevelt Boulevard, Schaumburg.

The state's 56th District includes Schaumburg and parts of Elk Grove Village, Hoffman Estates, Rolling Meadows, Hanover Park and Roselle. The 8th Congressional District is roughly centered in Schaumburg and includes parts of Northwest Cook, central DuPage and eastern Kane counties.
