Voter registration deadline:

Oct. 7 is the last day to register to vote with local deputy registrars for the Nov. 4 General Election, Lake County Clerk Willard Helander said in a news release. Lake County residents can visit LakeVoterPower.info or call (847) 377-2410 to confirm registration status. New registrants must be U.S. citizens, 18 years old on or before Election Day, residents of the precinct for 30 days immediately before Election Day, and provide two forms of valid identification. Registration is available at the county clerk's office and at most municipal, township and library facilities. To find the nearest registration location, call the county clerk's Voter Services Department at (847) 377-2410. The county clerk's office, 18 N. County St., Room 101, Waukegan, is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Fridays not proceeding a holiday weekend.
