St. Viator tops Fenwick in 2

St. Viator's girls volleyball team notched its first win in the East Suburban Catholic Conference on Tuesday night with a 25-22, 25-18 victory over visiting Fenwick in the Cahill Gymnasium.

The Lions (17-6-1) evened their conference record at 1-1.

Alyssa Forbes (7 kills), Emily Hayes (3 kills), Grace Fedus (3 kills) and Michaela Mueller (2 kills) led the attack for the Lions while Kaitlin O'Brien handed out 17 assists.

Ellie Meyer (3 aces) led the back row with 19 digs while Kasia Sosin added 13.

Libertyville d. Buffalo Grove: Libertyville posted a 25-20, 17-25, 25-6 over the visiting Bison (12-8).

Alex Basler led the Wildcats (19-4) with 13 kills and 5 blocks while teammate Anna Lillydahl added 6 kills and Erin Dunleavy with 5. Liz Apgar dished 23 assists.

Stevenson d. Barrington: Stevenson posted a 25-20, 25-23 victory over host Barrington (5-15) which was led by Megan Talbot (4 kills), Katie Clement (4 kills) and Teigen Eilertsen (3 kills).
