Wheeling company holds open house for Manufacturing Day 2014

Interested in seeing American manufacturing in the works? Keats Manufacturing Co. at 350 Holbrook Drive, Wheeling, is holding an open house from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct., 3, as part of Manufacturing Day 2014, a grass-roots effort to showcase the potential of modern manufacturing.

Keats is a precision metal stamper. The plant has an in-house, computer-aided-design department, and tool and die making capabilities. It has a strong track record of youth employment and employee education, and wants students to attend and learn about opportunities in the manufacturing field.

Students under 18 must be accompanied by parents or teachers. Groups of more than five persons must register in advance. Open-toed shoes are prohibited. The dress code is casual.
