Durbin, Obama worsen nation's problems
A message to Jim Oberweis: You can and should win election as our next U.S. senator if only you would get some fire in your belly and give something like this very abbreviated stump speech and use it in ads.
"I and most Illinois and American citizens are getting more fed up and angry ever day about the way Sen. Dick Durbin and President Obama are destroying our country. Consider that Durbin and Obama have increased our national debt from $5 trillion to $17.7 trillion in less than six years. What has this gotten us?
"Durbin and Obama have pushed through huge new laws like Obamacare and Dodd Franks that have increased the costs of the federal government and private businesses.
"Durbin and Obama lied to all of us repeatedly. We were told over and over that "if we liked our current health care plans we could keep them and if we liked our doctors we could keep them, also we were going to save a lot of money with Obamacare." They knew that none of this was true at the time.
"Durbin and Obama refuse to recognize the fact that the U.S. is the free world's only superpower. The result is that the tyrants of the world are making a laughingstock out of the U.S. and ignoring international laws and all forms of civil behavior.
"Durbin and Obama are using executive powers to illegally bypass Congress.
"Durbin and Obama accuse Congress of not acting on our nation's problems and yet it is the Senate that refuses to take any action on the many bills passed by the House.
"Durbin and Obama are responsible for the lies and abuses on Benghazi and the IRS."
The voters need to hold Senator accountable for all of this and more.
