Huntley, Westminster post wins

Huntley's boys soccer team came back from a goal deficit at the half in nonconference action to beat Vernon Hills 2-1 as Allesandro Vergara and Allan Barrientos scored goals in the final 30 minutes for the Red Raiders (3-8-4) Friday.

Barrientos scorched the game-winner in the 77th minute while Max Walsh and Michael Zembrzuski came away with assists. Keepers Andrew Fuller (2 saves) and Michael Parks (no saves) split time in goal.

Westminster Christian 7, Cornerstone 1: The Warriors (7-7-1) secured a nonconference win with 6 goals in the first half. Leading the way for Westminster was Robert Kleczynski with 2 goals while Will DeHaan, Lee Grasemann, Hunter King, Sam Carani and Michale Beusse each added a goal. Goalkeeper Jackson Walle managed 2 saves.
