Girls volleyball: Fox Valley roundup Thursday, Sept. 25

Westminster Christian d. Alden-Hebron: Savannah Dutcher had 8 kills, 2 aces and 3 blocks and Jackie Calabrese served 5 aces as the Warriors won their homecoming game, beating Hebron 25-16, 25-17 in Northeastern Athletic Conference action. Emma Kovachevich added 13 assists for Westminster (5-7-1, 3-3).

Huntley d. McHenry: Erin Erb had 11 kills, Haley Arnieri 21 digs and Kelsey DeWulf 19 assists to lead the Red Raiders (9-4, 3-2) to a 25-13, 23-25, 25-18 Fox Valley Conference Valley Division win. Sydney Holt and Aly Dion each added 6 kills to the win.

Cary-Grove d. Lake Zurich: Abby Shebel had 8 kills and Bree Coffey 2 digs for the Trojans in a 25-12, 27-25 nonconference win. Sarah Graham served 5 aces for Cary-Grove (14-4).

Burlington Central d. Harvard: Lexi VanHiel and Emily Bozich each had 5 kills and 2 blocks as the Rockets (13-4, 6-0) won in the Big Northern East, Aly DeTamble (11 digs, 4 kills, 2 aces) and Jenna Runde (12 digs) also contributed for BC.

Glenbard South d. St. Edward: Dominique Washington had 9 kills, Cece Rapp 8 and Megan Barth 7 but the Green Wave fell in the Metro Suburban West 25-19, 25-27, 25-16. Casey Gredzieleski added 12 assists for St. Edward (10-5, 4-2).

St. Viator d. Harvest Christian: Mikayla Robinson had 9 kills and Ellie Burzlaff added 5 for Harvest Christian (6-6) in a 25-20, 25-15 nonconference loss. Jade Martinez added 15 assists and Candis Kaplin had 16 digs for Harvest.

Addison Trail d. Bartlett: Hunter McCord's 5 kills led Bartlett in a 25-19, 25-21 nonconference win. Sjalynn Kennedy (4 kills) and Danielle Santucci (6 assists) also contributed for the Hawks.
