Bears Bites: Half the defense hurt but still an impressive win

Playing without about half your defense.

On the road again — this time on the opposite coast — and in prime time.

To slog out that kind of win?

In a word: Impressive.

Remind me again:

How the heck did the Bears lose at home to Buffalo??

But:

As much as that loss still stings, it's still you're division-leading Bears (2-1), and that ain't such a bad thing.

Old school:

They did it with defense, special teams and basically without Brandon Marshall.

Who'd a thunk?

Better and better:

Oh Phil Emery, you are looking very wise with your pick of Kyle Fuller.

Very, very wise.

Random thought:

That commercial with those active seniors bopping their way around the dance floor?

Intoxicatingly weird.

Pretty sure:

I'll never be comfortable when the Bears go back to punt.

Unsung heroes:

The D.

Ahmad Dixon.

Martellus Bennett.

Not quite perfect:

As good as this win feels, there are still some issues.

Issues like dumb penalties and the running game.

Ah, but that's kinda nitpicky after a win like this, isn't it?

And the beat goes on:

Bears, Packers ... Sunday.

You ready?

Gutsy Bears hang on for win, jump atop North

Cutler efficient enough to get job done

Lights not too bright for Sutton, Ferguson

Bears happy to accept Jets' kindness
