W. Aurora Dist. 129 seeks at-large board members

The Superintendent's Community Advisory Council for West Aurora Unit District 129 is seeking five to seven active community members to serve as at-large members.

The council will meet at 7 p.m. the last Monday of each month, beginning Sept. 29. Those who express interest in these at-large positions do not need to have a child attending a District 129 school or have any affiliation to the school district.

The council will meet every month with Superintendent Jeff Craig, to provide input and feedback on different topics regarding the school district. The council is made up of one parent representative from each District 129 school along with five to seven at-large members.

Community members who are interested in becoming an at-large member must submit their requests by Wednesday, Sept. 24 to Tony Martinez at tmartinez@sd129.org.

Tony Martinez also will be able to provide more information and answer any questions about these positions in the council.
