One World Festival in Mundelein Saturday

The One World Festival, a celebration of cultures from around the world through music, dance, food, beverages, games, art and history, will take place from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Mundelein Metra station, 205 N. Archer Ave.

Free kids activities, dance groups, educational exhibits, games, crafts and more will be featured, and a flavorful world showcase of food and drink will be available for purchase. Participants are encouraged to wear their culture's traditional garb.

The Mundelein Human Relations Commission, Mundelein Park and Recreation District, Fremont Library District and Mundelein Community Connection are partners in the event. This year's goal is to have at least 50 cultures represented.
