Maintain equal access to political system

Since the Supreme Court's Citizens United decision, we have seen mercenary political corruption become accepted as business as usual: Campaigns are shedding all respect for truth or the constitutional political process in an all-out war to throw propaganda at voters' impulses and bypass their higher minds, while elected officials are bought and give active allegiance not to their constituents but to their biggest corporate and individual donors.

If we as a nation cannot restore integrity and transparency and equal access to our political system, then our political system is a sham sustained only by mutual consent of the gullible.
