Iven Hernandez scored two more goals, and Antioch's boys soccer team won again in North Suburban Conference Prairie Division action Tuesday.

The Sequoits' 3-1 victory over visiting Wauconda at McMillen Field improved their record to 8-2 overall and 3-0 in the NSC Prairie.

Danny Brito scored first for Antioch, assisted by RJ Ruano. Hernandez then tallied his 16th and 17th goals of the season. Logan Bouker and JR Lonergan picked up the assists on Hernandez's pair of goals.

Dan Miller had 2 saves in goal for Antioch, which led 2-1 at halftime.

Wauconda got its goal from Teddy Kolarov, assisted by Erik Hernandez.

Round Lake 2, Lakes 1: Christian Vazquez scored early in the second half to snap a 1-1 tie, as the visiting Panthers stayed hot.

Round Lake (7-2-2) improved to 3-0 in the North Suburban Prairie, while stretching its unbeaten streak to seven games (5-0-2).

Freddie Ramirez finished a pass from Vazquez in the first half. Round Lake keeper Adis Sator made 6 saves.

Vernon Hills 4, North Chicago 0: Sophomore keeper Brennan Reback made 4 saves in earning the shutout, and sophomore midfielder Anakin Ruiz had 3 assists for the Cougars in the North Suburban Prairie match.

Vernon Hills (5-4-1, 1-1-1) got goals from Chris White, Nate Peck, Nikita Mikhaylov and Ilya Kravtsev. Keaton Goshorn also had an assist.

"We played well for a majority of the game," said coach Mike McCaulou, whose Cougars led 2-0 at halftime. "We still have some things to work on and figure out, but the boys are moving in the right direction. It was a good result."

Grayslake North 2, Crystal Lake South 2: The Knights rallied from a 2-0 deficit at halftime to earn a tie in the Fox Valley Conference crossover.

Grayslake North (6-4-1) didn't score until there were six minutes left in the game. Fernando Sanchez served a ball in for Denzel Mitchem, whose header cut the Knights' deficit in half. Two minutes later, Sanchez took a pass from sophomore Grant Nickolson and slotted a low, hard shot past the onrushing goalkeeper.

"Our back four were able to win balls higher up the field, and thus we were more dangerous in our attacks," Knights coach Adam DeCaluwe said. "We started to put them under some good pressure and caused their backs to get uncomfortable."

DeCaluwe also noted the standout play of JC Thomas, Dylan Harmon and Lucas Buckels.

Grayslake Central 2, Jacobs 0: Joey Mudd and Ethan Rockel scored for the Rams in the Fox Valley Conference crossover.

Connor Gosell earned the shutout in net for the Rams.

Grant 2, Zion-Benton 2: Manuel Garcia scored a goal in each half for Grant in the North Suburban crossover, while Bulldogs keeper Nick Heidenthal made 10 saves.

Mundelein 5, Lake Forest 0: Mason Homsey had a goal and 2 assists, as the Mustangs rolled in North Suburban Lake action.

Jose Ortega, Armando Gomez, Yann Nsoga and Stephan Wald also scored for Mundelein (6-3-3), while Donnie Kvien made 3 saves in notching the shutout. Victor Casas and Hector Ruiz also had assists.

Libertyville 2, Streamwood 1: The Wildcats won the PepsiCo Showdown match, as Kevin Reilly and Gerard Touhey scored. Kyle Robson had an assist, while keeper Sam Muchmore made 8 saves in net.
