Gail Stephens appointed Rosemont treasurer

Mayor's sister is treasurer:

Daily Herald report

Gail Stephens has been appointed Rosemont's new village treasurer by her brother, Mayor Brad Stephens. The mayor said the role is merely a signatory position - not the same as a finance director. Gail Stephens replaces longtime treasurer Gail Patronski, who died in March at the age of 88. Patronski had been receiving a salary of $6,000 a year, but pay for the job has been eliminated. Gail Stephens, who holds no other village jobs, will however be eligible to receive medical benefits.
