Coroner: Bitcoin exchange CEO committed suicide

Associated Press

A Singapore Coroner's Court has found that the American CEO of a virtual currency exchange committed suicide last year in Singapore because of work and personal issues.

The death on Feb. 26 death of 28-year-old Autumn Radtke triggered media interest because it occurred not long after the collapse of the Mt. Gox bitcoin exchange in Tokyo.

The report released Monday said that Radtke was “determined to end her life and had made concerted efforts toward facilitating this outcome”, including by researching suicide methods on the Internet.

Details of the coroner's findings were reported on the website of the Singapore state news broadcaster Channel NewsAsia.

It said Radtke died from multiple injuries sustained from her fall from a Singapore apartment building.
