Library parking on agenda

The Cook Memorial Public Library board will meet Tuesday to discuss expanding parking at the Aspen Drive Library in Vernon Hills, among other issues. The library opened in 2010, and officials have been publicly discussing expanding the parking lot since 2013. The library has 69 parking spots, and Director Stephen Kershner has said he'd like at least 50 more. Officials have eyed village-owned land for a possible parking-lot expansion. The meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. at the library, 701 Aspen Drive.
