Bears Bites: It's a whole new season

Ladies and gentlemen:

Your first-place Chicago Bears. Can you believe it?

Sure:

It's also your first-place Lions, Packers and Vikings too, but who cares?

Bottom line:

It's a whole new season.

Tell me:

Despite the boringest, ugliest, flaggiest, sloppiest first half in history, you stuck with this one.

Tell me:

You saw Brandon Marshall pull a Willis Reed, Kyle Fuller pull a Wally Pipp and Jay Cutler pull himself up from a brutal hit to rally the Bears back for an absolute must-win.

Speaking of Marshall, yeah those 3 TD catches were huge, but don't forget that fumble recovery on a botched shotgun snap deep in Bears territory. The guy's a game-changer in every way.

Hey Brandon:

You can fly to New York anytime you want.

Finally!

This was the first Bears victory in San Francisco since 1985.

An omen perhaps? Yeah, let's not get carried away.

Lovin' it:

Al Michaels' increased indignation every time another flag was thrown. He spoke the truth, though.

What a run:

No idea how serious Charles Tillman's injury is, but if this is the end of the line, well sir, it's been one a heck of a career.
