Abreu reaches 100 RBIs as Sox sweep doubleheader

Dayan Viciedo crushed a 405-foot home run to left field in the bottom of the ninth inning Saturday night, lifting the White Sox to a 7-6 win over the Twins in Game 2 of a doubleheader against the Twins Saturday night at U.S. Cellular Field.

Viciedo's 2-run shot gave the Sox a sweep over the doubleheader. They beat Minnesota 5-1 in Game 1.

A big highlight of Game 2 was Jose Abreu finally reaching 100 RBI for the season.

The Sox' rookie first baseman hit a solo home run in the fifth inning to reach the century mark.

It was Abreu's first RBI since Aug. 31 and first home run since Aug. 22.

Avisail Garcia got the White Sox' rally going with a 3-run homer in the first inning.

Sox starter Scott Carroll settled down after getting hit hard early. The right-hander pitched 5 innings and allowed 4 runs on 4 hits and 2 walks.
