Warren homecoming parade:

Warren Township High School hosts its annual homecoming parade through Gurnee at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 14. The parade will move down Old Grand Avenue to the O'Plaine Campus, 500 N. O'Plaine Road, Gurnee. There are nearly 45 groups entered in the parade. Featured will be Homecoming royalty representing the freshman, sophomore and junior classes, and 10 members of the senior class (5 girls and 5 boys) who are nominated for queen and king.

The theme of this year's homecoming is "Blue Devil Big Top" for activities that will run from Sunday, Sept. 14 to Saturday, Sept. 20. The Warren Township High School Foundation, consisting of alumni volunteers, will celebrate the Homecoming parade with a tailgate tent in front of the O'Plaine Campus. They will sell hamburgers and hot dogs. Stop by the tent for more information about WTHS Foundation events and activities planned for the 2014-15 school year.
